We went to Chicago for Jordan's 5th Birthday. Had a BLAST! Visited American Girl on the first day - Jordan got her big girl American Girl doll - named her Bella. Grace took a class in doll hair styling. We also visited the Art Institute on the first day, we saw a bit, but were tired and ended up taking the train back to the hotel a little earlier than planned. The second day we went to see Mary Poppins. It was fantastic! After the show we found the stage door in hopes of getting a few autographs - did we ever! Got most of the main cast, minus the kids. What a great trip!
Okay, so I know this was from a while ago, but I like the pictures and thought I would post them. We had alot of rain this spring. One day, after work, I thought it would be fun to take a walk in the rain with the girls. I was right - it was fun!
Jordan loves to dance. She loves dance recitals. She loves everything about it; practicing, trying on costumes, make up, hair, waiting backstage, going onstage- everything. Can you tell?
This was a bittersweet event. After seven years at Calvary with first Grace, then Jordan, we are fast closing in on our last day. Cookie Carnival is a big event, and sort of the cap on the end of the year. I cannot believe how big she has grown, and it just seems like yesterday I dropped her off for the first time with Mrs. Lynne and Mrs. Miranda - my how time has flown!
Grace ran again this year, and is excited that next year Jordan will be able to join her. The crowd gets bigger and bigger each year, it is quite the event.
The second graders at Glendale put on a little musical called "Glow". Grace had a speaking part, and did very well I might add. Especially as getting up in front of a crowd is not really her favorite thing to do!
